Being an alumnus in the Department of Neuroscience, Jiwaji University, was nothing less than the beginning of an adventurous quest for a big dream, a dream for understanding science, understanding the mechanisms behind my own behaviour-eat, sleep, play, learn, act & react and most of all to do science. The more I knew it, the more I fell in love with the subject. But the most important factor behind any make is the environment, the factors around that silently help, that silently energize. The atmosphere, the richness of the library, the excellent faculties and the basic to advanced facilities, made me gain the experience needed to face the world where I am today: a world of scientific research! On personal front, the care and supported by Patro Sir and Patro Ma'am are beyond words. Despite being out of home for the first time, I was at home. This peace of mind, the love and blessings of teachers helped me fight the obstructions in the path. I am glad and lucky to have found them, to have found the department and to be a part of it. My massage to all those who see a department by its reputation only: If you have the will, you will always find the way! If one craves for the knowledge, one will gain it. Never under-estimate any opportunity, because it may never return!!! Good luck
